How to Nominate:
Given the breadth and diversity of our beautiful internationally acclaimed music, the categories have been selected to reflect this.
Nominating is a simple process; you can nominate yourself or someone else who you consider worthy of an IRIE Reggae Awards recognition. The easy-to-use, free online form only takes a few moments to complete, and you’re welcome to make as many different nominations from the various categories as you wish.
Nominees will be shortlisted by our experienced music executive judging panel.
Closing date for nominations: Midnight 2 August 2027
We are seeking nominations in the following categories:
BEST EMERGING ARTIST
Recognizing an outstanding new artist who have made a significant impact.
BEST SINGER
Recognising those who have made exceptional achievements as an individual artist.
BEST ALBUM
Recognising the creative excellence and its overriding effects.
BEST BAND
Recognising the superb unification of creative abilities collaborating as one.
BEST SONG
Recognising the impact that a song has created which became the song of the year.
BEST PRODUCER
Recognising the ingenuity a producer has made in the recording environment.
BEST PLAYER OF INSTRUMENT
Recognising an outstanding musician for their artistic and unrivalled contribution.
BEST RECORDING STUDIO
Recognising a music establishment along with the engineers and facilities which have created significant sounds.
MUSIC LEADERSHIP
Recognising a CEO, Managing Director, A&R Director, Artist Manager or Promoter making significant impact in leadership.
BEST DJ
Recognising the dancehall DJ's who have made memorable contributions from the early days of DJing.
BEST SOUND SYTEM
Recognising a sound system for their contribution in advancing a culturally diverse and inclusive music history.
BEST SELECTOR
Recognising a creative individual who attracts and captivates an audience as a sound system selector.
BEST RADIO STATION
Recognising exceptional coverage and entertainment in the field of broadcasting.
BEST SONGWRITER
Recognising a remarkable songwriter or composer.
BEST COLLABORATION
Recognising a joint union and their exceptional collaborative contribution.
BEST VIDEO
Recognising the significant impact a music video has created in the field of visual entertainment.
HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR
Recognising an individual who have made notable contributions to communities and humanitarian values.
BEST HIP-HOP ARTIST
Recognising the outstanding achievements from international artists who continue to keep the tight bond between hip-hop and reggae alive.
